Parent Organizations

Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA)
Mountain House High School developed the first PTA associated parent organization in Lammersville Unified School district.
The PTSA (Parent-Teacher-Student Association) is a private, non-profit organization of parents, teachers, students, and community members who strive to better the lives of children. We are part of an association that is organized at the local, state, and national levels. MHHS parents, students and teachers who join PTSA are automatically a member of the state and national associations. The PTSA is the largest child advocacy volunteer organization which speaks for the interest of all children and their safety, health, welfare, and education.
Our PTSA is currently involved in fundraising and school events that support students through fundraising and volunteerism. Activities such as the annual fun run, craft fairs, and food cook-off events bring the community together to raise funds that are donated back to the programs, clubs, and organizations at school that support student involvement and academic success. For a link to our MHHS PTSA CLICK HERE. School Site Council
Mountain House High School's School Site Council is an advisory group of parents, students, teachers, administrators, classified staff, and community members who were all elected to represent these groups in a decision making capacity on our campus. The school site council discusses how to improve instruction and climate on our campus. This group participates by developing goals and actions that impact the development of the site safety plan, the school's accreditation report, and the site plans to implement the district's strategic plan. This group meets on a monthly basis to develop these goals and actions, and provides an important forum for improvement and change in the educational process at MHHS.
