Physical Education Department
The Physical Education program at Mountain House High School is designed to help students enjoy the benefits of exercise while developing lifelong habits that support physical, mental, and emotional wellness. Our department challenges students to stay active, build resilience, and cultivate a healthy lifestyle that extends well beyond high school.
We offer a wide range of Physical Education courses to meet diverse interests and fitness goals, including yoga, weight training, lifetime fitness, competitive sports, and recreational sports. Students may participate in activities in the gym, weight room, on the field, or in specialized fitness spaces, allowing them to explore multiple pathways to personal wellness.
In addition to traditional PE offerings, the department provides a college-preparatory course in Sport Movement and Science, which examines human movement, fitness principles, and the science behind athletic performance.
Whether students are striving to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, or overall well-being, the Physical Education Department is committed to supporting fitness for both the body and mind.
