on Edgenuity courses from home, then make sure your student has scheduled enough time to complete daily assignments at a doable pace. If your student works on Edgenuity courses on-site at school, then encourage your student to schedule time to review his or her printed eNotes before taking assessments. Set High Expectations: Encourage your student to actively use the Assignment Calendar to track what course work he or she should be completing each day. Setting and achieving daily goals helps keep students motivated and determined to succeed.
Ask for Feedback, and Provide Encouragement: On a daily basis, check in with your student by asking questions.

Online Course Attendance Expectations:
Students who take online courses through the online pathway have their attendance accounted for in a different way. Online Course periods are NOT free periods during the day. Attendance for Online Courses is taken on a work-completed basis as opposed to seat-time. In order for a student to be marked present for an online course, the student must be on-pace and up-to-date with all of their coursework as it is listed in their Edgenuity Course Report to be marked present on a daily basis. Students who are on pace will be marked present. Students who are behind pace will be marked absent. Attendance consequences will apply for each absence in the online course as if the student had cut class. Students who are behind pace will be required to physically attend class, but will not be marked present until they are on pace or ahead of pace.
