ENGLISH 11: One year course.  

This course emphasizes the theme of the emerging American voice in American literature. Students will also experience novels, short stories, poetry, plays, and nonfiction selections all focusing on the concept of the American Dream and family. Students will develop their writing skills as they analyze American literature and literary techniques. Examples of core literary works explored during the Junior year include Walden, Of Mice and Men, and The Great Gatsby. Fulfills the UC/CSU “b” requirement. Meets NCAA requirements.
