Work Experience

WORK EXPERIENCE:  5 credit course; Open to Grades 11, 12.  Course may be repeated for credit. Course available with counselor approval.

Students may earn elective credit towards graduation by completing 70 hours of paid employment. Students are responsible for creating a plan to complete these hours, finding a job, and having a valid work permit. At the end of their work experience hours, students will write a reflection paper on how their employment has impacted them. Students must get approval from their counselor and complete these hours over the course of one school year in order to receive credit. This is not a UC A-G approved course.
