Honors Math 2
Course Description
HONORS MATH 2: One year course; Prerequisite: Completion of Math 1 with an A and teacher recommendation.
The specific content of the course includes an extension of the real number system into irrational and complex values, quadratic functions and applicable algebraic skill sets, probability basics, right triangle trigonometry and similarity, and coordinate geometry. The honors course will support an enriched level of depth of topics including computer programming topics and mathematically challenging extension problems. Students taking this course should express a strong interest and appreciation to be challenged and willing to do more outside of classroom work. This course fulfills the UC/CSU “c” requirement. Meets NCAA requirements.
