AP Calculus AB

Course Description

AP CALCULUS AB: One year course; Prerequisite: Completion of Math 3 Honors or Pre-Calculus course with a C or better.

This is an advanced placement course which covers the first semester of a standard college calculus sequence.  Specifically covered topics are limits, differentiation and integration techniques and applications. An AP exam in May will earn college credit based on specific college score requirements.  This course fulfills the UC/CSU ā€œcā€ requirement. This course is also eligible for UC honors distinction. Meets NCAA requirements.   An approved graphing calculator is required for this course and must be purchased by the student. Computers will not be allowed on the AP exam.  The AP Course is intended to be taken by students who will take the AP exam during May. Approximate cost of each AP exam is $100.
