Honors Biology

Course Description

HONORS BIOLOGY:  One year course; Open to Grades 9-12.

This is a first year course intended for students interested in biological sciences and willing to spend additional time outside the classroom mastering content and working on individual and group projects.  Course content is similar to Biology which introduces students to the study of life from the cellular level to the biosphere as a whole and will prepare students for AP Biology, including Earth Science Standards associated with the Next Generation Science Standards. Students should expect to spend time outside of class, especially in the areas of research, problem solving, and preparation of lab reports. This course fulfills UC/CSU “d” lab science requirement. Meets NCAA requirements.
