Physics in the Universe
Course Description
PHYSICS in the Universe: One year course; Open to grade 9-12. Prerequisite: Concurrent enrollment in Math II or higher.
This course is designed for students enrolled in Math II or higher who are interested in learning how science and math work together. Conceptual Physics is a project/laboratory based in physics concepts, motion and forces, conservation of momentum and energy, heat and thermodynamics, waves and electric and magnetic phenomena with the Earth Science Standards outlined in the Next Generation Science Standards. This course will provide students a strong foundation for future work in other physical sciences classes. Students should expect to spend time outside of class working in teams to complete/build group projects which demonstrate the physical phenomena being explored. This course fulfills UC/CSU ādā lab science requirement. Meets NCAA requirements.
