Chamber Choir

CHAMBER CHOIR:  One year course; Open to grades 9-12.  Prerequisite: Must pass vocal audition.  Course may be repeated for credit.

Singers receive advanced instruction in vocal technique, reading music and advanced music theory.  A variety of choral literature, music styles and period, both sacred and secular, are presented. Students learn stylistic interpretation as well as development of vocal and musical skills.  Open to piano accompanists with audition. Weekend tours may occur as well as clinics, music festivals, evening rehearsals and performances. Most performances are required as part of the student’s grade.  Fulfills UC/CSU “f “ requirement.
