Course Description
STAGECRAFT 1: One Year Course; Open to Grades 9-12. Prerequisite: Application and interview after sign up.
This is a hands on course designed to allow students who are interested in the technical aspects of theater. Set design and building, lighting design and programming, sound design and programming, theater management, stage management, and advanced applications of theater is explored. Students will be required to participate in the production aspects of both large and small scale theater productions and will be required to participate in out of school productions as part of the student grade. Students who are interested in carpentry, art, painting, crafting, sewing, and all other aspects of theater production are encouraged to enroll. This course is anticipated to fulfill UC/CSU “f” requirement”
