Winter Percussion
Course Description
WINTER PERCUSSION: One semester course; Open to grades 9-12. Prerequisite: Audition occurs in
December of each school year.
A performance-based class for percussion students which performs at school and community functions as well as at competitions and festivals through the second semester. Assessment is based on participation and improvement in class and at performances. After school practices and performances are requirements of this course. Winter Percussion members are required to attend performances at various events throughout the 2nd semester.
Rehearsals are held after school and weekends. This course can count as waiver for 2nd year of P.E. if student passes the Fitnessgram test. Student must participate in 4 seasons of Marching band to receive the P.E. Waiver.
