Mountain House High School has begun to use a new application called 5-Star Students. This new application is a web site that is independently available through their school issued computer or through a mobile app that can be downloaded on a personal device if they so choose. Full functionality of the application is available through the web site and through the online smartphone application.Why are we partnering with 5-Star Students? 5-Star Students will allow us to provide positive reinforcement for student and staff involvement. It allows the school to track and incentivize positive actions and behaviors, as well as involvement in events, activities, clubs, and groups.
There is an additional benefit of allowing the school to minimize paper hall passes. Passes that are issued by the office or by teachers (such as a bathroom passes, or tardy passes) can be viewed by the student, and by campus users, such as other teachers, counselors, administrators, and campus supervisors. This allows for tighter security, better campus management, and tracking of out-of-class time.
