Attention MHHS students interested in becoming American Red Cross Lifeguard Certified. MHHS is hosting its first Lifeguard Training as a fundraiser for the MHHS Aquatics programs. This service is being offered through Happy Swimmers USA, and is the first time we are offering the training on our campus. This certification is a nationally recognized training that allows students to be eligible for lifeguarding jobs here at the MHHS pool during the CSD summer swim program, or in pools and water parks elsewhere.
It is important to note that the training is a significant commitment including a prerequisite skills test, a fee of $400 per student, and a 7 hour online pre-training course that must be completed prior to the first day of training on January 5th. Students who are interested should sign up TODAY as the interest form will serve as our priority list. The course fee will not be due until after the prerequisite skills test is completed. We encourage you sign up soon as this training has room for only 10 students. Dates for future training will be published in the future.
