Dear Community Member!It is that time of year again where we plan for the holidays! For several years, the Mountain House community has come together to celebrate the winter holidays with the lighting of the community Holiday Tree, located in Central Park just south of the splash pad play area. Last year was the FIRST year we added ornaments from community organizations to the tree! We had participation from over 60 organizations and the tree looked great! We aim to increase the participation and fill up the tree even more. We love this tradition and we see the Holiday Tree as an opportunity to celebrate and bring together members of our community.
In partnership with the Mountain House Community Services District (CSD), we invite your organization, club, school, business or group to create an ornament that reflects your organization. We envision a vibrant tree, full of amazing decorations that capture the breadth of our community!
The Holiday Tree is only able to hold a limited number of ornaments. Parameters for the ornament size, weight, and materials can be found HERE. Please not that the ornament parameters are bigger this year. If your organization would like to create an ornament, please register HERE to indicate your interest. Registration is free! IMPORTANT: Ornaments are due on November 28th! That's only a few weeks away!
If you submitted an ornament last year, and would like to reuse your ornament, please let us know immediately. We do have most of the ornaments from last year. Some were damaged from the 6 weeks of hanging on the tree, we are happy to check if your ornament is still in good condition.
