MHHS Soccer

The Mountain House High School varsity girls' soccer team recently concluded an exceptional season, placing third in the Western Athletic Conference and making it to the playoffs. While they fell short in their final match against the number one team, Saint Francis from Sacramento, their performance throughout the season was nothing short of remarkable.

The team's success can be attributed to the hard work and dedication of the players, their coaches, and their supportive community. From the very start of the season, the Mountain House High School varsity girls' soccer team displayed a level of teamwork and commitment that set them apart from their competitors. Under the leadership of their coaches, they worked tirelessly to improve their skills and tactics, constantly striving to perform at their best.

Several standout players on the team contributed to their success this season. Kyra and Brooke, for instance, both played all four years at the varsity level, with Brooke serving as captain for three of those years. Brooke's leadership and dedication were especially impressive, given that she returned from an ACL injury that kept her out of the game for an entire year, yet she remained committed to her team. Andrea, another standout player, moved from playing on the field last year to become one of the best goalkeepers in the League, with 96 saves and 7 shutouts, demonstrating her skill and agility on the field.

In addition to these individual accomplishments, several members of the Mountain House High School varsity girls' soccer team were recognized for their outstanding performances. Jayden Reynolds, Sofia Ramos, and Athena Taylor earned spots on the 1st Team All-League, showcasing their talent and dedication on the field. Kambrie Jehs, Brooke Gale, and Andrea Coronado were recognized for their impressive performances, earning spots on the 2nd Team All-League. These players played key roles in the team's success, demonstrating their skill and commitment throughout the season.

Throughout the season, the team faced many challenges, including tough opponents and injuries. But they never gave up, always pushing forward and supporting each other. Their strong work ethic and resilience were evident in every game they played, and this dedication ultimately paid off as they secured their place in the playoffs.

The team's playoff match against Saint Francis from Sacramento was a tough one, but they battled fiercely throughout the game. Despite their efforts, they were unable to overcome their opponent, falling short in the end. While it was undoubtedly a disappointing outcome for the team, they should be proud of all they accomplished this season.

The Mountain House High School varsity girls' soccer team's success is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the players and their coaches. Coach Ayers and Coach Ramos were an integral part of the team's success this season, and they should be proud of all they accomplished. Their commitment to their players and the sport of soccer was evident in every game, and they have undoubtedly left a lasting impact on their team and Mountain House High School.

Congratulations to the Mountain House High School Varsity Girls' Soccer Team on an exceptional season!
