Join the MHHS Mustang Brigade

ATTENTION Mustang 'Ohana!

Did you know that you can add Marching Band to your schedule without effecting your schedule for next year?
Did you know taking Marching Band is a great GPA booster, and a great way to add diversity to your college applications?
Did you know that opportunity is one of the most exciting activities at our school?

The Mountain House High School Mustang Brigade and Colorguard is our high school marching band, and we welcome you to join the band this coming school year. This is not only an opportunity to start building your high school transcript, but it is a great opportunity to show your Mustang Pride.

Who should sign up?:  ANY STUDENT who has been in band before, or who can read music and has an interest in continuing their musical education.  There are spots for percussionists, piano players, brass instrument players, and woodwind players.  We are also looking for students who DO NOT play instruments who are interested in participating in the Colorguard.  The Colorguard provides visual effect to the marching band, and no experience is necessary.  If you want to participate by learning to spin flags, rifles, sabers, and provide visual effect to our marching shows, you are welcome to come too!

Marching Band officially starts this year with Band Camp from July 24th-27th from 9am to 4pm.  Marching Band performs at all home football games, and will travel to competitions throughout the fall semester through November.  Practices during the school year are every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 4pm to 7pm.  Students will receive 5 high school credits on their high school transcript for their participation.

Participating in Marching Band is a great way to start building that high school resume before you apply for college.  Remember, colleges are no longer looking for students who just have good grades, they want to see students who have actively participated in extra-curricular activities, and band is a great way to demonstrate that participation.  If you have not yet signed up for marching band and are interested in getting more information about adding this class to your schedule for the 2023 marching season, please fill out the form at the bottom of this message
