MHHS BSU Celebrate Black History Month at the Black Panther Museum

MHHS BSU Wraps Up an Inspiring Black History Month!

Our Black Student Union closed out an amazing Black History Month with a powerful and educational field trip! We explored the rich history of the Black Panther Party Museum, gaining insight into the movement’s impact on social justice and community empowerment.

At the Oakland Museum of California, we dove deeper into Black history, culture, and contributions that have shaped our world. To end the day, we gathered for a well-deserved lunch at Everett and Jones BBQ, celebrating community, culture, and connection over some incredible food.

A huge thank you to everyone who made this experience possible! This trip was more than just a celebration—it was a reminder of the resilience, creativity, and power of Black history. Let’s carry this energy forward all year long! #MHHSBSU #BlackHistoryMonth #EducationAndEmpowerment
