The Mountain House DECA chapter made history this past weekend in Anaheim at the DECA SCDC State Competition, delivering an unprecedented performance that set new records for our program. After a strong showing at regionals in January, our students raised the bar once again—securing not one, but TWO first-place trophies for the first time ever!
In addition to our top titles, we proudly celebrated five 3rd-place finishes, marking our highest-ever number of top-three placements. Out of the 88 students who competed, an astonishing 41 placed in the top 10—standing out among more than 3,000 competitors from across the state.
This achievement is a testament to the dedication, skill, and relentless drive of our students, Each competitor took on two events, demonstrating their ability to think critically, strategize, and perform under pressure at the highest level.
With their outstanding performances, several of our students have automatically qualified for the prestigious DECA International Career Development Conference (ICDC) at the end of April, where they will compete against the best DECA students from around the country and the world.
