.Head Varsity Football Coach & Campus Mentor
Mountain House High School is proud to announce Lonnie Walker as the new Head Varsity Football Coach for the Mustangs. Coach Walker brings more than a decade of experience in high school athletics, student mentorship, and campus leadership. Over the past five years, he has served as a Campus Supervisor at MHHS, where he has been a trusted presence focused on student safety, accountability, and character development. His dual role as both a coach and campus leader uniquely positions him to build a football program that emphasizes discipline, integrity, and academic responsibility alongside competitive success. 

Coaching Experience & Leadership
Coach Walker has six years of football coaching experience, including five years at the varsity level, and service as a JV Assistant and Freshman Head Coach. His work across all levels of the program provides a comprehensive understanding of athlete development and long-term program continuity. In addition to football, Coach Walker has served as Varsity Head Coach for Track & Field, Head Coach of the school's inaugural Girls Flag Football team, and coaching roles in Girls Basketball. His commitment reflects a dedication to developing student-athletes and building a strong team culture.

Athletic Background & Educational Foundation
Coach Walker competed collegiately at Grambling State University, where he was part of two National Championship teams. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, which supports his work in campus supervision and reinforces his commitment to maintaining a safe, structured, and supportive environment for all students. 

Vision for the Mustang Football Program
As Head Varsity Football Coach, Coach Walker is committed to building a sustainable, student-centered program that prioritizes academic success, character development, and long-term athletic growth. His established relationships with students, families, and staff, combined with his championship mindset and campus leadership experience, position him to lead the Mustang football program with purpose and stability. 

We are incredibly excited to have Coach Walker step into this leadership role as our new head Football Coach. His commitment to our students, his deep understanding of our school community, and his championship mindset make him uniquely suited to lead Mustang Football into the future. We are eager for the start of the 2026 season and confident that Coach Walker will build a program that reflects the pride, discipline, and excellence that define Mountain House High School.
