The Mountain House High School DECA chapter will be competing again this coming January in the Northern California DECA competition. The competition is being held in a new location and
venue.
Our students will be competing in Santa Clara at the Marriott Hotel located at 2700 Mission
College Blvd. in Santa Clara January 15-17, 2027. This is a change from the previous years
when the regional competition was held in San Ramon.
For the competition in January, the chapter plans on taking up to 200 students. Given that
projection, the chapter needs to recruit at least 28 judges for in-person judging. This does not
apply to online judging.
If you have been a judge in the past, you know how exciting this opportunity is to see our
students compete and show their professional skills. If you have not been a judge before, I
encourage you to consider this opportunity.
You do not need to be involved specifically in business, but having some professional
background is recommended. The details for in-person judging are as follows:
Date: Saturday January 16
Time: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm – continental breakfast, lunch, and beverages are provided for the
judges.
Location: Santa Clara Marriott, 2700 Mission College Blvd, Santa Clara, CA
Orientation will be provided before the competition starts.
