Course Description
GOVERNMENT: One semester course; grade 12. One semester (paired with Economics).
Students will pursue a deeper understanding of the function and purpose of American government and the political process. They will analyze the history and changing interpretations of the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the current state of the legislative, executive, and judiciary branches of government. An emphasis will be placed on project based learning that will prepare students to vote, participate in community activities, and assume the responsibilities of citizenship. Fulfills UC/CSU “a” requirement. Meets NCAA requirements.
