Course Description
ECONOMICS: One semester course; grade 12. One semester (paired with Government).
The course will give students the opportunity to master fundamental economic concepts, and to apply tools (graphs, statistics, equations) from other subject areas to the understanding of operations and institutions of economic systems. Studied in a historic context are the basic economic principles of micro- and macroeconomics, international economics, comparative economic systems, measurement, and methods. Emphasis will be placed on project based learning and practical applications of economic concepts that will prepare students for work in a globalized marketplace. This course is required for high school graduation. Fulfills UC/CSU āgā requirement. Meets NCAA requirements.
