Aloha Mustang 'Ohana

aWelcome to a new school year!  We look forward to seeing all of our students here tomorrow 8/4/22 at our new start time 8:30 A.M.  Here are a few reminders to help you through your first day of school here at MHHS.

  • Check Aeries for your most up-to-date schedule.  The one you got at walk-through may have changed as counselors have been working on balancing classes.
  • The Bell Schedule has changed this year, and Thursday and Friday are Block Periods.  We will be following the block schedule periods on the first two days of school.  Check our new Bell Schedule with classes starting each day at 8:30 A.M.
  • Advisory class (Zero “0” period) will be attended tomorrow between 2nd period and SUCCESS!  This period happens EVERY THURSDAY.
  • Breakfast is served each day at 8:00 A.M. until 8:25 A.M. Meals are free again this year, but students MUST have their ID card to receive it.  Students who did not take their ID picture can pick a temporary ID up at the Learning Commons desk.
  • Students with a Flex Period MUST meet in the Multi Use Room for a Flex Period Orientation.
  • Students with Online Courses must report to the Learning Commons for an orientation.

With almost 2200 students at MHHS this year, it will be important to be patient with traffic during drop off and pick up times.  There are four main drop off points for students.  The busiest area is at the front of the school, so we encourage you to consider dropping off your student in alternate areas such as the areas outside the MPR, in the Bus Loop, or in the back of campus near the pool.  For an 8:30 A.M. start time, we suggest that students be on campus by 8:20 A.M. to be able to locate their first class and be on time.

In addition, students can enter campus from one of 4 different entry locations.  In order to keep foot traffic to a minimum during the day, the front office should not be used as a main entrance to campus unless you have business in the office.  Below is a map of the entry points to campus.  Please be aware that parents should not come on campus to drop off students.

Students who Bike to school should bring a bike lock, and be ready to lock their bike in one of 3 bike parking areas on campus.  See the map below for bike parking areas
