Flex Students MUST remain on campus UNLESS their FLEX period is at the beginning or end of their INSTRUCTIONAL DAY.The end of the instructional day is a bit different on certain days in any given school week.
I have included this Flex Period Flow Chart with the different scenarios and allowances for going off campus during FLEX Periods for this school year.
If your FLEX period is at the beginning or end of your Instructional Day on that school day, you are expected to NOT be on campus at that time.
There is no need for a permission slip or to scan out as your instructional day will have not begun or is at its end.
Attendance will be taken in all classes that are on your schedule and your attendance should reflect that you are on time and present for all required classes, including FLEX periods that are NOT at the beginning or end of your instructional (Scheduled) school day.
This policy will take effect Wednesday, August 10th and students can begin to arrive on campus when their instructional day (Scheduled classes) begins and leave when their instructional day (Scheduled classes) ends.
Juniors & Seniors are allowed to leave campus for SUCCESS!/Lunch starting on Wednesday, August9th as well ONLY if they have a signed permission slip, have gotten notice of their approval, have been added to the roster and activity in Flex Time Manager. These students are still expected to be on campus during their instructional day, according to the above flow chart.
