The Mighty Mustangs started their season of Fun in the Sun with a trip to one of the oldest Golf Courses in California, the fabulous Merced Golf & Country Club, founded in 1928 this course is but 10 years younger than Pebble Beach. With limited practice over the last week when temperatures in the Low 100's the Mustangs practiced indoors, and came out with low expectations, those challenges of the severe heat did not effect 1 of the newest members of the Lady Golfers, Ashley Xu fired a team competition record 75 and finished 2nd in the Tournament, marred only by an ill fated double on the dangerous, water laden and lily filled 13th hole she had 3 Birdies and 3 bogies to lead the team. The Ladies are traveling to Turlock 8/29 for our last "open" tournament before League play starts at Chowchilla's Pheasant Run on Tuesday, 8/30
