MHHS Academic and Attendance Eligibility.Hello, parents/guardians and students,
This is a friendly reminder about MHHS academic and attendance eligibility.
The end of 1st semester is on December 22, 2022. Students not meeting eligibility requirements will be removed from any athletic or extracurricular activity they are currently involved in, effective January 9th. Furthermore, the semester 1 report card is also used to determine student eligibility to try out for the spring sports season. Students who do not meet the eligibility requirements on the semester 1 report card will not be permitted to try out for Spring sports teams. Academic Eligibility
Students participating in athletics must have a GPA of 2.3 or higher. Eligibility will be determined at the end of this Semester. Students that are deemed ineligible shall not compete for their respective teams, and students will not be eligible to try out for upcoming Spring Sports. For students participating in extracurricular activities, students will not be allowed to miss school to attend any events/performances/meets/etc.
Attendance Eligibility
Students participating in sports, extracurricular and cocurricular activities must demonstrate positive attendance at school at all times. Students are expected to maintain an attendance record that is free of unexcused absences and very few tardies.

Students participating in activities who have excessive unexcused absences (more than 24 period absences) or more than 10 tardies will lose eligibility and/or result in removal from the team.
