Last week, a group of our high school students participated in the Cruzhacks hackathon, which is a straight 48-hour challenge, and won a prize on 'Most Useful Hack'. They created GestAR, an AR project that uses gestures as input to open and close a garage or switch on/off lights, etc., It's a kind of gesture-based product that simulates Amazon Alexa (minimum functionality at this time.)
Team/Participants - GestAR:
Yasmit Bhaverisetti
Charlie Huang
Akshat Sehgal
Shravan Paladugula
They competed with undergraduate students and also with bay area kids. It's a great achievement, and milestone from our high schoolers.
