MHHS Wrestling Impressive Season - 2022 - 2023

MHHS Wrestling

The Mountain House Mustangs wrestling team has had yet another outstanding season. The team, consisting of both boys and girls, competed in several tournaments throughout the season and achieved impressive results.

Veronika Emerson and Eli Magann both qualified for the Masters' Tournament, which took place on Saturday at the Stockton Arena. Veronika took 4th place at the Southern Region girls' tournament, securing her spot at the Masters for the second time in a row. Eli Magann, on the other hand, made history by becoming the first Mustang boy to qualify for the Masters' Tournament in five years. Eli secured his spot by taking 4th place at the Division IV Divisional tournament.

The Mustangs also had several other impressive placers at the league tournament. For the girls, Veronika Emerson took 2nd place at 118lbs, Rachel Prasad took 2nd place at 123lbs, and Shaila Bhatia took 2nd place at 145lbs. For the boys, Keaton Bly took 4th place at 115lbs, Samuel Miller took 4th place at 140lbs, and Ayden Archuleta took 4th place at 154lbs.

The accomplishments of the Mustangs wrestling team this season are a testament to their hard work and dedication to the sport. Wrestling is a physically demanding and mentally challenging sport, requiring athletes to push themselves to their limits both in practice and competition. It takes a great deal of discipline and perseverance to achieve the level of success that the Mustangs have demonstrated.

The Mountain House community can be proud of their wrestling team for their impressive accomplishments this season. The dedication and hard work of the athletes, coaches, and supporters have undoubtedly contributed to the team's success.
