We are the Society of Women Engineers at UC Davis. We are excited to share an outreach activity with you! We are inviting high school students to participate in our annual event, Project Aspire, which is a day filled with interactive group activities geared to introduce female students (though male students are welcome too) to engineering and STEM fields. It will be on Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM on Zoom.
Participants will rotate through various stations that give them the opportunity to interact with our members while engaging in events that consist of keynote speakers, club presentations and activities focused on different aspects of engineering. We will end the day off with an alumni Q&A panel. We will also have a raffle of 10 Amazon gift cards for the first people to sign up, and a raffle for all participants at the end of the event! Students won’t want to miss it! Being a woman in engineering is no easy feat, and we want to show the attendees that empowered women empower women! We invite everyone to come out and experience a day of interactive STEM education.
The form for participants to sign up will close on Friday, April 28, 2023. The registration link can be found here. We will extend the deadline to sign up if needed!
