Traffic Procedures
Hello,
Safe driving and obeying traffic regulations are VERY important at MHHS and MUST be followed! To help guide all families/students, here is a list of Do's and Don'ts to guide you to drive safely while on MHHS school grounds:
DO:
1. Drive a maximum of 10 MPH while on school grounds.
2. Obey the traffic cones placed to identify lanes and directions for in front/back of school pick up/drop off areas. 3. Stop at any/all crosswalks as pedestrians in those crosswalks have the right of way.
4. Look and listen to all school staff who are assisting with traffic before and after school.
5. Be extra cautious and look for students walking through any section of the school parking lots and pick up/drop off areas.
DO NOT:
1. Rev your vehicle and accelerate at a high speed at any point while on MHHS school grounds (YOU should NEVER be going faster than 10 MPH).
2. Allow your student to exit your vehicle at any place other than while fully stopped in the designated drop off lane.
3. Use your cell phone while driving.
4. Block any parking spaces or cross walks in any pick up or drop off lane.
5. Exit the drop off lane into an exit lane without the permission of the designated staff member assigned to that area.
6. Shift across multiple lanes at once.
You may be cited as soon as you leave school grounds for not adhering to any/all CA Traffic Laws by the School Resource Officer and other sheriffs on site of the San Joaquin County Sheriffs Department. Again, the safety of our students is our utmost concern so please adhere to the do's and don'ts of MHHS School Traffic while driving on the school grounds.
