Hello Mustangs,
As we move forward into a new chapter for the Mountain House High School boys basketball program, we want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible impact Coach Reno Ursal has had during his time with us. It’s with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to Coach Ursal, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavors. His dedication and leadership have left a lasting mark on our athletes, and we are grateful for his contributions to our program.
We are thrilled to announce that Jordan Boreman will step in as the interim head coach. Coach Boreman brings a wealth of experience and passion to our team. A graduate of Saint Mary’s College, he played under the renowned Coach Bennett for two years. His impressive playing career continued in the ABA, CBA, and IBL, where he even had the opportunity to play professionally in China. Jordan was recognized as an All-Star for two consecutive years and led the league in assists and triple-doubles during that time.
With over 20 years of coaching experience at various levels, Coach Boreman has a strong background in developing players. He has coached at prestigious camps such as the Golden State Warriors and New York Knicks summer camps, and he has worked with athletes from 3rd grade all the way up to the varsity level, including AAU teams.
Currently, Jordan is the lead trainer for the National Protective Force at Sandia National Labs, demonstrating his commitment to excellence in all aspects of his life. In his spare time, he enjoys staying active, training his two boys, and practicing martial arts.
We’re excited about the direction Coach Boreman will take the program and look forward to seeing our players thrive under his guidance. Let’s all come together to support our team as we embark on this new journey! Go, Mustangs!
