Set in the 1940s after the end of World War 2, this production of ‘Much Ado’ explores the romantic relationships, witty banter, and mischief as soldiers return home from overseas.
MHHS Students rewrote some of Shakespeare's language in order to fit the time period while also honoring the original story and text. Some characters have different names, and the class has added song and dance to the vibrant jazz & swing culture of the 1940s. Added songs include "Something Stupid," "I'll Be Seeing You," and other hits by Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, and Ella Fitzgerald.
