Influence Ideas Mentorship Program Showcases Future Leaders

.The Influence Ideas Mentorship Program (IIMP), hosted by MHHS TEDx at Mountain House High School, concluded a transformative two-month journey for over 115 students (grades 5-8) from Peter Hansen and Julius Cordes Elementary. This initiative focused on training students in public speaking and shaping the leaders of tomorrow, culminating in an inspiring showcase event featuring 28 selected finalists’ speeches.

Under the leadership of Pranavi Battula, Anvi Sharma, Mihika Sinha, Sahana Puliyadi, Cheryl Justin, and MHHS TEDx Advisor Ms. Jessica Gonzalez, they worked tirelessly to organize this program/support each student’s journey. IIMP offered comprehensive sessions every week that covered essential public speaking techniques, helping students craft their speeches from A to Z. Students received personalized feedback and engaged in interactive presentations that brought their ideas to life across the 2-month program.

The IIMP Showcase held on March 24th drew an enthusiastic crowd of over 100 attendees, including parents, students, and community members. The Showcase brought a celebratory atmosphere with food trucks, an introductory speech given by Pranavi Battula (President of MHHS TEDx), Ms. Jessica Gonzalez (Advisor), and showcased the 28 finalists’ exemplary speeches from 4-8:30 pm. The event highlighted the dedication of all participants, as well as concluded with the selection of 4 top winners representing IIMP, who will present at the TEDxMountainHouseHS Conference in October 2025, received an extra certificate. All 28 finalists received an engraved trophy and 1 certificate.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to the officer team, parents, students, high-school volunteers, and photographer Hadi Zain who made this initiative possible.
