Articulated Courses

Articulated Courses (Dual Enrollment):
To take specific courses at an outside institution (i.e Delta College) resulting in having credits awarded by MHHS (articulation) and replacing required coursework at MHHS. This is a popular avenue for students to explore that would make room in their schedules for future school years and/or would like to take rigorous college level courses that interest them. The earliest a student can take a Community College course is Fall of 9th grade.

Steps to Sign-Up for a Non-MHHS Course (@ Delta)
  1. Apply to Delta, after 24 hours- you will receive an email with your Delta ID. CLICK HERE *** If you have already taken a course with Delta, you do not need to apply again.

US History *HIST C1001 OR HIST C1002 @ Delta* (must be completed by December of 10th grade year)
English 11 *ENGL C1000 @ Delta* (must be completed by December of 10th grade year)

*ENGL C1000 cannot be used for Senior English.

Economics *ECON C2002 @ Delta* (must be completed by December of 11th grade year)
***Class of 2028 & younger: You must complete BOTH POLS C1000/ECON C2002 at Delta to articulate them to your transcript. You cannot articulate only one.***

Important Reminders
  • If you choose to take an equivalent course at MHHS - your articulated Delta course will be removed as this is seen as repeating credit. (For example - I took ENG C1000 at Delta and articulated it to my HS Transcript, I then chose to take AP Eng/Lang during 11th grade - ENG C1000 will be removed from your transcript).
  • If you do not want a Delta course articulated to the HS transcript because you are unhappy with the grade - you must tell your Counselor BEFORE submitting a transcript that you do not want it articulated.
  • Students can choose to take a course at another Community College (instead of Delta College), however, it is the student's responsibility to ensure they are taking the equivalent course to the MHHS requirement.

GPA Impact

If you take a required course at Delta/Community College that will be articulated onto your High School transcript, the Community College course will be a weighted course on the 5.0 GPA scale (similar to taking an AP/Honors course).
