Mustang Online Pathway
Many students have individual needs or circumstances that prohibit them from attending school full time. As such, the Mustang Online Pathway provides a fully online program. Mustang Online Pathway students are held to the same high standards set in the regular classroom and have access to UC "a-g" eligible and non-UC eligible coursework to meet the needs of each individual student. One benefit of the Online Pathway at Mountain House High School is that students have face-to-face in-person or virtual access to credentialed teachers if they need additional help and tutoring in the classes that they are taking online. In addition, students are assigned an academic counselor who will assist them with course selection and career planning. Coursework is available for students to begin and complete the entire high school experience online.
In addition, during the 2021-2022 school year, California State Education code mandates that public school districts provide an independent study option for all families due to the ongoing pandemic. The Mustang Online Pathway is the Independent Study option for families who choose to take advantage of this mandate.
Using our partnership with expert online content provider Edgenuity, we are able to offer over 80 UC approved college prep courses including regular, honors and AP Courses. Check out the current California Course list HERE.
Mustang Online Pathway students who reside in the Lammersville Unified School District enjoy access to the same resources as traditional students. They may attend athletic and social events, compete in athletics, and participate in the more than 50 clubs and activities offered at the high school. In addition, Mustang Online Pathway students are eligible to take any of the classes offered in a face-to-face format on campus at Mountain House High School, giving them access to academic and elective courses that other online programs cannot provide. As official Mountain House High School students, Mustang Online Pathway students receive a Mountain House High School diploma and participate in commencement ceremonies.
Students who reside in a school district other than Lammersville Unified School District are also eligible to apply for the program. Students outside the school district would need to be granted an inter-district transfer from their home district, and due to state law must live in one of the following California Counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Sacramento, Amador, Calaveras, Stanislaus, and Santa Clara. Once accepted to the online pathway, these students also have the same access to extracurricular activities, sports, events, clubs and activities.
