Ben Fobert, Principal
ben 2019Ben was selected as Mountain House High School Principal in July 2013. Previous educational experience includes administrative positions in both High School and Elementary School in the Pleasanton Unified School District, and the Hayward Unified School District.  Ben has been employed in the educational field as a teacher or administrator since 2001. 

Ben received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Studies Teaching from Brigham Young University-Hawaii and a Masters of Arts Degree in Educational Leadership from Saint Mary's College of California. He currently attends Saint Mary's College of California as a Doctoral Student in the Educational Leadership program.
 
Ben is passionate about Mastery-Based approaches to instruction, and in building Professional Learning Communities that identify common outcomes for all students.  He is also passionate about technological approaches to instruction, and blended learning pedagogy that leverages technology to personalize the time, space, path and pace that students choose in their learning.  He has led Mountain House High School in developing school-wide expectations through a Professional Learning Communities approach, and through the establishment of school-wide grading scales, redo/retake policies, and Mastery-Based learning approaches.  

When Ben is not busy at the High School, or at St. Mary's, he enjoys spending time with his wife and 7 children.  Two of his children are proud alumni of Mountain House High school, two are current students, and the rest can't wait to be Mustangs!  Ben and his family are proud to call Mountain House their home since 2006.

Brian Schum, Associate Principal of Curriculum and Instruction
Brian Schum - YouTubeBrian oversees all efforts of curriculum and instruction at Mountain House High School, and assists in the overall administration of the high school.  Brian facilitates our department chairs in leadership council, and communicates with students and families about registration, course enrollment, grading policy and procedure, and student academic programs.  Brian is also responsible for facilitating our school site council meetings.

Kamaljit Pannu, Vice-Principal of Discipline/Restorative Practices, Attendance, Facilities
Staff Directory | Mountain House High SchoolKamaljit Pannu Joined the Mountain House High School School administration team during the 2019-2020 school year. Kamaljit has been working in the education field since 2009. Before joining the Mustang community, Kamaljit served as Dean of Students and Assistant Principal in the San Lorenzo Unified School District, in addition to working as the Assistant Principal at Bethany Elementary School.

Kamaljit obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from UC Davis, and his Master's Degree and Administrative Credential from San Francisco State University.  
 
Kamaljit oversees student discipline/restorative practices, attendance, and facilities. He also works closely with counselors and teachers in social/emotional supports on campus.  He looks forward to developing students' strengths in their intellectual, emotional, and social domains and making sure students are ready to achieve success.Go Mustangs!

Karen Perez, Vice Principal of TK-12 Alternative Education
Staff – Alternative Education – Mountain House High School
Karen oversees all Alternative Education Programs at Mountain House High School and at all K-8 schools in the district.  Her work at the high school involves her working closely with students and teachers in the EPIC Academy, in the Online Pathway, and in our Hybrid education pathway.  Karen and her administrative team also coordinate short-term independent study and Home Hospital requests.  Karen works closely with district and school staff on social/emotional supports for students, and is our school and district homeless liaison, Transgender liaison, and equity specialist.

Aline White, Vice Principal of Student Activities, Athletics, Assessment
Aline WhiteAline oversees all Student Activities, Athletics and Assessment on our campus.  Aline works closely with the Activities Directors, Athletic Director, and the Club and Organization Advisers.  Aline is also the Mountain House High School Testing and Assessment Coordinator and assists students with PSAT, SAT, ACT, AP, CAASPP, MAP and all other testing on our campus.  Aline also coordinates our Senior Class events including Senior Honor Night, Graduation, and works closely with the Senior Parent Committee for all end-of-year senior activities.
