Introduction
Obtaining a Block Letter during high school represents a significant achievement on one or more areas of co-curricular and extracurricular activities. The Block Letter for Music is obtained by participation in both Music courses AND extracurricular activities. Criteria
In order to receive a Block Letter in Music a student must meet the following criteria

Attendance at all Concerts/Performances (All regularly scheduled concerts/performances required for the assigned music class)6

Participation in the following:
- Audition for County Honor band/choir/orchestra
- Audition for regional/state honor band/choir/orchestra
- Participation in regional solo festival
- Verified participation in outside music group (church, community, glee club, etc.)
- Participation in Spring Musical (Orchestra, chorus, acting, tech crew, etc.)
- Private Music Lessons
- Music Class Leadership Position
- 6 hours of volunteer work at school or community sporting or performing arts events (concessions, statistics, scoreboard, gate, ushering, etc.)

Additional Honors
A student may earn additional honors in Music (a pin or patch to add on to their letter) by accomplishing the following:
